About Course

 A Certified ScrumMaster® is well equipped to use Scrum, an agile methodology to any project to ensure its success. Scrum's iterative approach and ability to respond to change, makes the Scrum practice best suited for projects with rapidly altering and high emergent requirements, enabling teams to deliver usable software consistently and periodically through a defined project lifecycle.

The role of the ScrumMaster can be seen as crucial and involves overcoming challenges to progress, facilitating the process, and working with the product owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint. The ScrumMaster ensures that his team lives by the values and practices of Scrum, and doing so ensures their high performance.

This two-day Certified ScrumMaster training is delivered by Scrum Alliance Certified Trainers (CSTs) who will provide you with a deeper understanding of the three overarching areas of change under Scrum: Iterative Development, Self-Management, and Visibility required for greater project success as a ScrumMaster.

Your successful completion of this 2-day CSM course makes you eligible for Scrum Alliance's Online CSM Test.

Process

After completing your CSM course, you will receive an email from Scrum Alliance that includes a link to create your login credentials. You will use those credentials to gain access to the Online CSM Test. Once the test is complete, you will be asked to accept a license agreement. You will then receive the official designation of Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) from Scrum Alliance,along with a two-year membership with Scrum Alliance.

Punita Dave

Punita Dave is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and founder President of ApexOrion LLC specializing in Agile and Scrum transformation, coaching and training. She holds a Masters degree in Computer Science, and has worked with the software industry for 25+ years serving in roles of Software Engineer to Director of Engineering. During her journey, team silos, cultural & geographical barriers, fuzzy customer focus, disconnect between Engineering and Business, inefficient and over-bearing processes, were some of the things that bothered her. After being introduced to Scrum in 2003, Punita has become a passionate Scrum practitioner and Agile evangelist.

Punita has worked with Fortune 5, and multiple Fortune 100 companies like McKesson, Google, Visa, Cisco, CA Technologies, Informatica, Oracle, IBM, and 3M, and helped these organizations transform to more collaborative, safe and creative work culture using Agile and Scrum. She has worked with transformations ranging from 20 people Startups to 6000+ large scale Scrum adoptions. These have led her to coach, mentor and train extensively in the US, Canada, Europe and India, and have exposed her to many challenges along the way, making her life and experience much richer.

Vivek Angiras CST

Vivek is an Agile coach and trainer. He is a certified TBR (Training from the Back of the Room) trainer and speaker who started his career in scientific research more than a decade ago. He has experience working with clients from Fortune 500 to start-ups, spanning the State Department, banking, retail, non-profits, insurance, and healthcare.
His expertise includes large-scale Agile transformations, organizational change, and leadership development. Vivek is actively involved in the Agile community and frequently speaks at global conferences and at local practitioner groups.
Vivek's other certifications include CLP, PMI-ACP, SPC, and IGTF. Vivek holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and is currently based out of Washington, DC.
